IASPIS Residency #1: Sara Moller

1 Nov 2012

We welcome our first IASPIS residency artist, Sara Moller.

Sara was selected from an open submission in Sweden by IASPIS and SPACE, and will be in residence at The White Building for three months from October 2012.

"My project is about searching, collecting, organizing and putting things together, all to build sculptural collages. My goal is to find new ways into my artistic practice and get a chance to expand my knowledge in materials other than ceramic over a longer period of time.

Wild nature versus the constructed world, the lines between reality and what is unreal are topics that interest me. The expression in my art usually balances on the border between figurative and abstract, and can be seen as naive and surreal."
