Kari Altmann is an artist focused on survival fantasy aesthetics. Her practice involves constantly creating new micro genres, networks, tribes, and flows of content that push these aesthetics to ambiguated extremes, or repurpose their motifs and concepts toward new kinds of cultural survival. Occupying the top floor of the White Building studio, she will reveal various genres in progress, with a collaborative reading at 7:30pm and a live set to follow.
Rosemary Kirton is performing research, repentance, reconciliation and restoration through fan art of the inspirational photo quote networked identity Justgirlythings. Having drawn a critical eye on this community last year she seeks accountability through various fan artworks and gestures. Most of these involve collaborations with other artists and researchers for whom she feels this project has some relevancy, together they produce vine videos, interviews, photo shoots, collages, notes and illustrations.
Huw Lemmey has been trying to use technology to read the city as a space formed by political and sexual desire.
