SPACE Colchester is offering participants of the Creative Practitioner Support Programme (CPSP) and tenants of 37 Queen Street the chance to take part in a new Online Collaborative Residency.
The CPSP: Online Collaborative Residency will provide 10 artists with the opportunity to work remotely on collaborative pieces while also receiving mentoring, advice and dedicated peer-to-peer sessions. The selected participants will be split into pairs and given a time scale of 14 weeks to collaboratively create new pieces of work. Pairings will aim to include a wide range of practices, with a view to having an equal distribution of tenants and non-tenants/graduate/emerging artists.
Finished pieces will become part of a digital online showcase.
Awards and Support
Each participant will be paid a £200 artist’s fee and given a personal materials budget of £100 to cover artist equipment and any required transportation costs of artwork to their assigned collaborators.
Over the course of the 14 weeks, selected applicants will take part in dedicated online peer-to-peer sessions with the full group and guest mentors in order to give the pairs the chance to gain feedback and develop their proposed ideas.
