John Samson (1946 - 2004) was an extraordinary British filmmaker. Following an apprenticeship in the Scottish shipyards and involvement in various union and activist circles he met his wife Linda, at the time studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Falling in with a bohemian crowd, he began to make films focusing on extraordinary indviduals and groups operating at the margins of society. In Arrows (1979), Samson turns his attention to the world of competitive darts and it's leading light at the time 'The Crafty Cockney', Eric Bristow. In Bristow - already successful and totally self-assured despite his youth - Samson finds a compelling figure through which he explores a sport as well as a specific period of British social life and culture.

TBWA\Chiat\Day is the American division of the advertising agency TBWA Worldwide. Created in the 1995 merger of TBWA and Chiat/Day, the agency operates offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville and Mexico City. In 1997, newly re-appointed to Apple as their interim CEO, Steve Jobs hired TBWA/Chiat/Day to produce a campaign capable of turning the struggling company's fortunes around. What they delivered was "Think Different": an advertising slogan launched off the back of a television and print campaign called "The Crazy Ones". Two rare promotional posters from the original campaign are included in the exhibition. Both depict Pablo Picasso.
