SPACE artists in The London Open

SPACE is thrilled that six of the 22 artists selected to exhibit in this year’s London Open have benefitted from SPACE support. The hugely prestigious triennial exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery showcases “the most dynamic and critical contemporary art being made in the capital today”.
Taking part are Hannah Brown, Gary Colclough and French & Mottershead all alumni of the SPACE/NCM professional development programme (now London Creative Network). Hannah and Gary currently have studios at SPACE, while French & Mottershead and Larry Achiampong are ex-tenants. Larry was also a recipient of a Breathing SPACE bursary. Meanwhile, Rachel Pimm developed recent work in an Art & Technology residency with SPACE.

The London Open 2018 selection panel is composed of Emily Butler, Mahera and Mohammad Abu Ghazaleh Curator, Whitechapel Gallery; Cameron Foote, Assistant Curator, Whitechapel Gallery; Ryan Gander, Artist; Paul Hedge, Hales Gallery; Amy Sherlock, Frieze Magazine and Robert Suss, Collector.
