The Role
SPACE is looking for an exceptional invigilator for the Mare Street gallery. As a gallery invigilator you will provide a welcoming and informative experience for visitors whilst supporting the exhibitions programming team with administrative and research-based tasks. 

Person Specifications
The ideal candidate will be a personable, reliable, proactive, flexible and motivated individual. You have invigilator experience or relevant experience within a customer-facing role and you are comfortable working alone. You must possess excellent communication and timekeeping skills as well as have experience with administrative tasks.

Interest in, and knowledge of, contemporary visual arts is essential.

The gallery at Mare Street is host to a successful Artist Commissions and Exhibitions Programme that underlines SPACE’s commitment to supporting artists to create and innovate. Working closely with four artists each year to enable new works, the resulting projects are situated both within the gallery and off-site. The programme champions emerging practice and experimental artist-led initiatives that move beyond the traditional expectations of the gallery walls.
