Urban Voices 2017

Urban Voices 2017 took place at The White Building in Hackney Wick, with young people from Newham’s alternative education providers, Education Links.

The young people decided to focus on their own experiences and explored reasons why mainstream education had not worked for them. They interviewed members of the public around Hackney Wick about their own schooldays. They also devised dramas, sent messages to their future selves and produced short films.

Drama workshops the confidence to express themselves, and filmmaking workshops were led by Individio and Pierre Vella.
