Award-winning jeweller Kassandra Gordon will be creating an exclusive collection of fine jewellery based on the stories of Redbridge residents for a new exhibition that opens at SPACE Ilford in summer 2024.

Contours of belonging is a socially-engaged, co-created jewellery art project exploring how migration informs our sense of home and belonging, using narratives derived from Redbridge residents. We are looking for local residents to take part in a series of immersive workshops, after which 5 people will be selected to move on to Phase 2 of the project, designing a piece of jewellery inspired by their story which will be made into a piece of fine jewellery by Kassandra Gordon.

Phase 1: Join a free workshop and share your story with Kassandra

Kassandra will initially hold three workshops at SPACE Ilford designed to spark imagination and ignite your artistic spirit. Through creative writing, thought-provoking discussions on immigration and belonging, and craft activities, you’ll delve into the rich tapestry of narratives that weave together the essence of what it means to live in Redbridge.
