Permacultures #20: Hannah Black
May 2014
Tomorrow and Tomorrow /// The Big Trip
Hannah Black is an artist and writer based in London and Berlin. She works mainly in video and text, drawing on marxist critical and feminist theory. For the Permacultures residency, she will research and work towards producing a narrative video work exploring the question of the ‘authentic female voice’, the speech of objects, and gender relations in capitalism. This project is partly inspired by Alan Turing’s famous test for artificial intelligence, itself based on a party game in which one must attempt to tell the difference between answers written by a man and a woman.
