Please join artist Karen Davies for an evening where we will celebrate the joy, sadness and humour of love and artistic creation. Karen has always been interested in the process of making, whether in her own work or the artists she supports in her role at SPACE. She will use SPACE Pop Up Shop as a test space to exhibit works in progress which will be the first iteration of Notes on love. This is a new series which has developed from Notes to self, an Instagram project from Post-it notes of self talk, and from a practice that has over the years encompassed drawing, sculpture and text. It’s a time to reflect and examine matters of the heart, close relationships, art, and self care.

Karen Davies is Head of Artist Development at SPACE and runs SPACE Advice Bureau. Notes to self and Notes to plants have been included in the recently launched Vitamin Txt: Words in Contemporary Art, published by Phaidon.
