Building Exploratory Workshop
Took place on Saturday 31 January 2009
Children and their families were invited to take part in this workshop which was led by artist Karen Logan with the Building Exploratory; in association with SPACE.
After exploring the three different hut structures in the Story of a London Township exhibition and listening to some story telling the children were asked to think about ideas such as shelter, safety and home as well as architecture and materials. They built a series of model dwellings which they lit internally using glow sticks and created a mini township inside the corrugated iron Hut.
