Welcome to SPACE Ilford, home to 32 artist studios and an award-winning gallery.

In November 2019, SPACE opened new artist studios, a gallery and event space in the London Borough of Redbridge. Situated at the rear of Redbridge Town Hall, Ilford, an impressive Grade II listed landmark with a spectacular Art Deco interior, the building provides artists and creatives with affordable workspaces, as well as a free art gallery.

Since opening, SPACE has developed a fantastic programme of exhibitions for the whole community to enjoy, co-created by artists and local residents, as well as regular free creative workshops and events for people of all ages and abilities. We have won the Redbridge Art & Culture Award two years running, as voted for by local people.

Ilford is just 5 minutes by train from Stratford, while the Elizabeth Line connects the town centre to London’s West End in 10 minutes.
