Emily Tracy, Constant Effort

Constant Effort is a co-created artwork by Emily Tracy inspired by The Portland Bird Observatory and its work. Since 1962, daily sightings of birds and moths have been carefully collected by volunteer birdwatchers. This has produced a valuable set of data. What does it tell us and what does it mean?

This installation is the culmination of a year long artist residency at  The Observatory commissioned as a part of  B-Side project ‘This  Land’ which  focuses on the fragile and unique natural at Portland Bill.
