Adam Baker has been awarded the second SPACE Patrons & Friends Studio Bursary in partnership with Wimbledon College of Art, which provides a free studio and support at SPACE Mare Street for 6 months.
SPACE Patrons & Friends Studio Bursaries are created to support exceptional artists at a crucial time in the development of their practice. Its aim is to reduce the impact of cost on success through the provision of free workspace within a supportive studio environment.
Adam graduated from BA Painting in 2018 and creates oil paintings exploring Queer themes and the tragicomic realities of human existence.
“When hearing I had been awarded the SPACE studio for 6 months I was beyond grateful. I cannot wait to utilise this opportunity to further my practise and continue the momentum I had during my degree. Thank you SPACE for this opportunity.”
