Calling all gamers – who never thought they’d take part in an art show
Artist Robert Cervera is preparing an exciting new show at SPACE Gallery in Ilford about gaming, cooling circuits, concrete, metal and everything that stays hidden in the digital world.
Here’s the opportunity: we’re looking for gamers to play games like Control alongside professional musicians in real life. Simple as that. Turn your bedroom hobby into a genuine public performance that you can proudly share with friends, incorporated into the gallery exhibition.
What you get:

What we need:
- Gamers aged 18+ with mid to high level of gaming experience.
- Your commitment to a few practice sessions which will culminate in 3 live performances during the exhibition spread between July 2025 and March 2026. These sessions will take place at SPACE Gallery in Ilford on the following dates:

Robert Cervera is a London-based interdisciplinary artist born in Barcelona. He studied music at the Professional Conservatoire in Badalona (Spain) and graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Sculpture in 2014. His work includes sculpture, installation, video and music, with a strong interest in materiality and our relation to it. He also builds tube structures that can be played as instruments. The sounds they produce form the basis of musical compositions, music coding and live performances.
He has recently performed in the UK (Ikon Gallery, Birmingham; Iklectik, London; Danielle Arnaud Gallery, London; all 2023) and in Spain (Eufonic Festival, 2022). He has shown extensively in the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Mexico.
