Eco-music workshop
Create your own musical instruments using a variety of recycled and natural materials such as plastic bottles, elastic bands, tree branches and dried pulses and embellish them with feathers, stickers and ribbons. In the second part of the workshop, you will have the chance to experiment with your instrument(s) exploring different sounds and sonic textures. The workshop facilitator, Amanda Fisher will then guide the group through an improvised jam session, incorporating singing and various rhythms. Materials will be provided on the day, and participants are also encouraged to bring their own recycling from home (plastic bottles, tubing, cardboard boxes, egg cartons, dried pulses like rice, beans, lentils etc). Suitable for all ages and abilities. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
