Join artist Kate Terry to explore colourful abstract art through making drawings and collage. Taking inspiration from our current exhibition, Ben Cove in SPACE, the workshop will reference the forms and shapes in Ben’s work, with surface patterns to colour in, but you can also come and make your own drawings, shapes and designs. You will be encouraged to experiment with geometric shapes, form, pattern and the illusion of depth through the use of coloured papers, card, and wood veneers in geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, trapeziums and squiggles. Open to all ages to come and play!
Kate Terry‘s work explores architectural space, geometry, balance, and colour through sculpture, installation and drawing. She has exhibited widely internationally, and in 2015 exhibited with Ben Cove in a two-person exhibition called Plane to Line to Point at dalla Rosa Gallery, London. Kate teaches Drawing & Conceptual Practice at Camberwell College of Arts, part of The University of the Arts London. She has a SPACE studio in Hackney Wick.
