SPACE Colchester Open Studios, Artist Social & Heritage Tours 2025

On the eve of Open Studios, SPACE invites local artists, members of our SPACE Peer-toPeer group and our studio holders to an Artist Social at Dice & a Slice on the ground floor of SPACE Colchester, 37 Queen Street. A chance to meet and discuss your practice with fellow artists over a glass of wine and nibbles.
Sat 13 Sep, 10am – 5pm – OPEN STUDIOS
Come and explore our artist studios at 37 Queen Street, meet artists, photographers, designers, illustrators and all sorts of creative people face to face and buy works of art directly from their studio. The day coincides with Colchester’s Heritage Open Days programme which runs from 12 – 21 September.
Sat 13 Sep, 12pm and 2pm – Free guided tours of the old police station
Tours of the building, led by former CID and Scenes of Crime Officer Chris Farndell, who served at Queen Street police station, will be held at 12pm and 2pm. Tours are free, but places are limited so booking is essential. Book your free place via the booking button above.
(Good to know: the tours will take approx 1 hour and will be limited to a max. of 15 people. This is a walking tour in an old 18th century building with some narrow stair cases and uneven floors. The building has toilets on each floor, and is fully accessible via lift.)
