Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) Extension
A fifth grant covering May 2021 to September 2021 will be open to claims from late July 2021. For more information and to find out if you are eligible to claim, click here.

Universal Credit for the self-employed 
Available at a rate equivalent to statutory sick pay and will cover 30% of house rental costs. Click here for more information.

Join the VAT deferral new payment scheme
The VAT deferral new payment scheme is open from 23 February 2021 up to and including 21 June 2021.

The new scheme lets you:

  • pay your deferred VAT in equal instalments, interest free
  • choose the number of instalments, from 2 to 11 (depending on when you join)

Artist Opportunities

Arts Council: Developing your Creative Practice (DYCP) Grants
With a boosted budget of £18 million thanks to the National Lottery – perfect for practitioners looking for funding to focus on their creative development. Round 11 will open for applications on 5 August 2021.

National Lottery Project Grants is open for organisations and individuals
National Lottery Project Grants, their flagship fund to support all individual artists and community and cultural organisations, is also open for applications. They’ve made some improvements so the fund can be more responsive to the needs of smaller independent organisations and individual practitioners during the pandemic. London Growth Hub – Grants and Access to Specialist Support 
Eligible SMEs will have access to grants between £1,000 – £5,000 to help them access business and professional services such as legal and financial advice, or help to adopt new technology and purchase equipment that will help them get back on track, following the impact of Covid-19. Register here
