Open Call: Lab Central Schools Residency
SPACE and Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure are working together to develop an ambitious commissioning programme as part of the Lab Central initiative in Redbridge Central Library. The first commission for the programme is the Lab Central Residency. The Lab Central Residency will engage secondary school children (age 13 – 14 yrs) creatively with the intersection of art and technology, with an emphasis on learning enhanced digital programming skills. Artists are invited to propose innovative and creative approaches to delivering The Lab Central Residency. The tendering process is described below, plus required submittals and briefing requirements for The Lab Central Residency.

Preparation of Proposals
The submissions will need to include the following:
- An outline of your creative approach including details of sessions and activities [400 words]
- Other relevant information such as materials and resources needed to deliver the residency
- Outline project timetable and budget including fee and overheads
- Three examples of previous projects which demonstrate your ability to deliver practically and on budget
- Signed and dated tender submission/proposal
Contract Value
Total project budget for The Lab Central Residency: £7,500 (including all costs and disbursements, VAT inclusive).
Submission of Proposals
The closing date for submission of Proposals and accompanying documents is: Wed 11 Oct, 12pm. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

Contract period
The Contract will be for a period of 5 months from 1 Nov 2017 – 31 Mar 2018 inclusive unless terminated earlier under the terms of the Contract.
