Beyond The Third Wave
What happens when crisis stops feeling temporary and becomes everyday life?
Beyond the Third Wave brings together artists responding to the visual culture of post-pandemic Britain—where political instability, economic uncertainty, endless media cycles and global conflict have reshaped how we see, remember and relate to the world around us.
Across collage, installation, textiles, sculpture, painting and graphic interventions, the exhibition explores how images shape power, identity and public memory. Humour, appropriation and disruption become tools for questioning nationalism, media spectacle and the systems that define contemporary life.
Rather than offering easy answers, Beyond the Third Wave creates space to reflect on what remains after years of overlapping crises: fractured narratives, unstable symbols and the challenge of imagining futures beyond reaction, nostalgia and exhaustion.
