Susanne Dietz’s short film The Tightening is part of the LUX Critical Forum group show ‘Showing Up’.
‘Showing Up’ brings together films, performances and works by artists and filmmakers from the LUX London Critical Forum 25/26.
To show up is a simple thing. It is also a commitment to be present and pay attention, to take a risk and to stay with something before knowing where it will lead.
Over the past year, the LUX Critical Forum has been a space for doing exactly this, coming together regularly to share, listen, experiment, move and think alongside one another.
The works gathered here have grown out of that process. They take different forms and approaches, and engage with different subjects, but each emerges from a practice that has developed within and in relation to this shared space.
