Susanne Dietz, Southwark Park Galleries Annual Open 2025

Susanne Dietz’s direct animation project is part of this year’s Southwark Park Galleries Annual Open exhibition.

These annual salon-style shows have been a rare opportunity for all artists to submit work without a selection criteria, “making it London’s longest-running open and democratic exhibition.”

Her project TAU is a one-minute direct animation and film still created by working directly onto 16mm clear leader.

The work emerges from two years of research exploring hormonal decline, Alzheimer’s disease, and MRI imaging—how the body becomes data, a translation of flesh into code, neurones into grayscale scans.
