Suzanne Holtom, The dangers of electricity

18 Aug – 13 Sep 2025
Finch Gallery, 12 Sidworth Street, London Fields E8 3SD

‘The post-industrial landscape continues to transform from one state to another. The scars and wounds of deeply embedded histories of natural extraction and social exploitation are ever present. And yet today, these transformed sites support an abundance of nature. For me, these landscapes suggest the instability of experienced events, an instability which seems to point to the future.‘

Suzanne Holtom’s work, has at its heart, the landscape she grew up near in the industrial Midlands. Her paintings reflect on geological time, post-industrial histories, personal experiences and memory.
