Connecting Colours, Diane Mayers
About The Workshop
Colours are static, but can be combined in ways that excite or disturb us, cause us to see or feel things differently, make us say “Wow!” or “Oh No!”
No two people actually see all colours in the same way, nor do they respond emotionally to colour in the same way. So what may please one person could disturb someone else. Many artists have used colour to calm, excite, provoke or surprise us.
This workshop will allow you to use combinations of colours, shades and tones to create images and patterns to please, puzzle, disturb or surprise.
Using pre-prepared simple computer code (in Python) you will create and explore visual images of your own. You will also learn a little about Colour Theory and try it out for yourself.
