Temporary Ceramic Studio Share – Brickfield Studios Unit 5-G (E3)
Available: 1st October – 31 December 2026 (can be flexible)
Monthly rent: £550 per month + firing costs
I am looking for an experienced ceramic artist or maker to share my section of a ceramic studio while I am away from October to December 2026.
The studio is located in East London (E3) and is shared with ceramic artist Skye Corewijn. This is a well-established working ceramics studio and would suit someone who already has experience working with clay and is confident in managing their own making process, including loading kilns.
The space would be ideal for someone looking for a dedicated period of studio time to develop a body of work, prepare for an exhibition, build a portfolio, improve technical skills, or undertake a focused ceramic project.
Included:
- Throwing wheel
- Slab roller
- Generous shelving space and wareboards
- Table space (1.8m × 0.9m)
- Small Vitsoe desk suitable for laptop work
- Access to two kilns:
- One weekly firing in a 310L top-loader kiln
- One weekly firing in a 180L top-loader kiln
- Plaster moulds for clay reclaim
- General ceramic tools
- Facilities for mixing glazes
- Internet access
Not included:
- Clay
- Glazes
- Firing costs
An induction will be provided at the start of the agreement, and studio etiquette guidelines will need to be followed.
For further information or to express interest, please contact:
Please include a short introduction to your ceramic practice and what you would like to use the studio time for.
Brickfield Studios is a former print factory that housed the Socialist Worker, Morning Star and Private Eye (with loading bays marked accordingly) – it has been fully refurbished to provide 50 studios over 2 floors. Brickfield was a freehold purchase in 2014 and completed and let to artists in early 2015. Set in ‘the last patch of the old East End’, it is sited near the Limehouse Cut in an area of factories and garages. There is also a growing community of artists with the ACAVA Limehouse Arts building nearby and ASC studios on Empson Street.
