With the increasing popularity of online platforms and social media for creative practices, the session will present a range of opportunities for artists such as online exhibitions, digital commissions, Instagram residencies and more, and discuss the potentials and benefits of these platforms as places for artistic experimentation and development, in conversation with a panel of artists and curators.

Radical Essex is a project led by Focal Point Gallery that re-thinks Essex in relation to radicalism in arts, architecture, lifestyle and politics. The event will present some of the works and commissions of Radical Essex in conversation with the artists and writers who have contributed to the project.
