Katie Kennedy, Build a landscape
Join us in this creative workshop to build a giant patchwork landscape artwork inspired by the work of artist Liberty Quinn and satellite images of Earth from space. We’ll start small and keep adding more and more to our installation; adding buildings, countryside, people, animals, roads and more!
We’ll think about how our planet’s unique landscapes, countryside, towns and cities look from a bird’s eye view. We will explore different paper, fabric and natural materials and learn new modelling techniques to create our mini landscapes and buildings, adding details as it grows.
You’ll come away with a new set of skills to make 3D mini models at home as well as a new perspective of how we look from space. Participants will also be able to take models home with them at the end of the workshop sessions.
