“Seek and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7

One for the suspicion seekers, the curtain twitchers, the show-off-offenders, voyeuristic vigilantes and exhibitionist seditionists.

Blake Hart-Wilson & Thomas Davidson present. Neighbourhood Watch: See it. Say it. Distort it. A duo show of painting, installation, sculpture, moving image and photography centred around the battleground of suspicion.

A forensic investigation into what happens on our watch; how the act of seeking out and bearing witness to the seemingly unseemly gives rise to tribalistic perception.

For the watchers are a cult like any other, and like any other they are susceptible to group-think, prone to group-see. As they open their curtains, do they close their minds?

The schema of the show is to hood-wink the hood-watch; warping what abounds in our surrounds. Opening the door to the other.

By twisting and inverting the standard sight-lines a different type of scrutiny occurs.

The usual becomes the unusual.
