Located in the intersection of several creative and culturally rich pockets of East London, this annual event offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with artists, witness their processes, and experience the vibrant energy of a thriving artistic community.

Highlight events:

Group exhibition: Logical Extracts and Other Fantasies
Featuring artists: Alice Browne, Jillian Knipe (Studio 8), Laura Wormell, Luke Burton, and Rebecca Byrne
6 – 8 June 2025, Studio 8

A lyrical, cross-disciplinary group exhibition that explores the blurred edges between interiority, narrative, and abstraction. Through painting, installation, and conceptual inquiry, five visionary artists conjure the subconscious and its friction with lived experience.

Artist talk: “Articulating Atmosphere”
Sunday, 8 June 2025, 2 – 4pm, Studio 8

Join artists Rebecca Byrne and Jillian Knipe in an intimate discussion delving into the themes of material memory, perception, and storytelling through visual language. Moderated Q&A will follow, inviting audience participation.

More than a showcase, Sara Lane Open Studios 2025 is a moment of connection between artist and audience, process and product, thought and feeling. It’s an invitation to experience art as a living, breathing dialogue. Step inside and be part of the conversation.
