Listen to the conversation here
SPACE welcomed artists Simnikiwe Buhlungu and Michaela Yearwood-Dan to share their experiences of the international residency programme Future Assembly. Switching cities and sharing spaces, from London to Johannesburg, Johannesburg to London two young creatives reflected on the nuances of their different geographical perspectives; what it means to be an artist today, the freedom to roam and ramble, and how we can shape, and are in turn shaped by places we inhabit.
Recorded at SPACE Mare Street on 28 May 2019.
