‘Whether it’s a photo of your nan in ’78 or you and the mandem in ’02, we want it.’

Join us for a special event with collective Black in the Day, to coincide with Playback at SPACE.

Black In The Day is a submission-based archive documenting the lives and experiences of black people in the UK. This scanning social invites you to scan printed photographs to submit to the archive, and help Black in the Day tell the stories of life across Britain.

Bring your own personal photographs showing any aspect of black life in the UK up to 1993 for Black In The Day to scan and add to their growing archive documenting black presence in Britain.

Come and take your place in the Black In The Day archive by having your own portrait done with special guest film maker Danika Lawrence.
