SPACE present Open Studios – an opportunity to step inside the working environments of artists and designer-makers across two East London studio buildings: Sara Lane and Timber Wharf. Over the course of the weekend, artists will open their studios to the public, sharing works in progress alongside finished pieces, offering insight into their materials, methods and day-to-day practices.

From furniture making and textiles to ceramics, embroidery and sculpture, the studios reflect the breadth of creative activity that takes place across the SPACE community. Visitors are encouraged to meet artists directly, learn more about their processes, purchase works, and engage in informal conversations throughout the weekend.

The event also provides an opportunity for artists, local audiences and creative peers to connect, reinforcing the strong sense of community that has developed across SPACE studios over many years. Sara Lane and Timber Wharf are located within walking distance of one another, and visitors are encouraged to explore both venues as part of the programme.
