SPACE Gallery in Ilford welcomes schools to come and visit us!
Free gallery and event space available for schools, colleges and universities to use to deliver your classroom activities and workshops. Enrich student learning in an environment where students can study art and design surrounded by art.
What we can offer you

Sabrina Tirvengadum. Beauty Fall

In Beauty Fall, artist Sabrina Tirvengadum transforms the gallery into a satirical beauty salon, inviting visitors to question how ideas of beauty are shaped by colonial histories, artificial intelligence and social media. Through AI-generated advertisements, interactive installations, sculpture and archival materials, the exhibition reveals how algorithmic beauty standards influence identity, self-image and belonging. Drawing on her own British Mauritian heritage and family history, Tirvengadum encourages audiences to reclaim the features and stories that dominant beauty culture has long overlooked or erased.
Liberty Quinn. Data Melt

In Data Melt, artist Liberty Quinn explores how satellite imagery and digital technologies shape our understanding of climate change in remote polar regions. Through sculpture, installation and image-based works, the exhibition examines how data gathered from melting ice sheets is translated into the images we see, revealing the fragmented processes behind seamless representations. Bringing together art and scientific research, Quinn reflects on environmental change, the limits of technological vision and our increasingly screen-mediated relationship with landscapes that are disappearing beyond our sight.
How to book your visit
Book your school’s visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Gallery is closed to the general public, so you would have the space to yourself. No more than 30 students per visit, max 2 visits per day for up to 90 minutes each. Visits can start from 10am – please book with Daniel Picone: daniel@spacestudios.org.uk
