School visits to SPACE Gallery
SPACE Gallery in Ilford welcomes schools to come and visit us!
Free gallery and event space available for schools, colleges and universities to use to deliver your classroom activities and workshops. Enrich student learning in an environment where students can study art and design surrounded by art.
What we can offer you
- free private use of our light, airy, glass-domed gallery on Tuesdays and Thursdays (when the gallery is closed to the general public)
- free private use of a large event room with tables and chairs – great for packed lunches, cloakroom & classroom activities
- relevant, engaging art exhibitions by emerging artists in a range of medium

Robert Cervera, Hiddenware

In Hiddenware, artist Robert Cervera invites us to reconsider our relationship to the virtual world. Robert worked with local video gamers and musicians to co-create audiovisual performances, culminating in an exhibition that bridges sculpture, video, music and live streaming in the gallery.

Transitions presents a local neighbourhood seen through fresh eyes in a series of short films shot in and around Redbridge by artist Alan Abrahams.
How to book your visit
Book your school’s visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Gallery is closed to the general public, so you would have the space to yourself. No more than 30 students per visit, max 2 visits per day for up to 90 minutes each. Visits can start from 10am – please book with Daniel Picone: daniel@spacestudios.org.uk
